Our BMS Link Missionaries

Coedpenmaen has a special link with BMS World Mission workers Caroline and Tom Howell in Uganda.  They come from Oxford and are members of St Aldates Church.  Tom worked on BMS home staff for seven years managing BMS’ team programmes.  Tom is a qualified teacher, Caroline is a full-time mum.  Before Abigail, Bethany and Matthew were born, Caroline studied history and has a doctorate in Ugandan history.  In the summer of 2010 they began their time in Uganda, together with Abigail (7), Bethany (5) and Matthew (1).   

They are based in Kampala, working alongside the Baptist Union of Uganda, as BMS representatives in the Churches Community Development Ministry. BMS has asked Tom and Caroline to be BMS in-country co-ordinators for Uganda which means they help with practical day-to-day administration and communication.
